Role in APPNA South Texas Chapter (STC)
● Served as Secretary, President-Elect, and President, and currently serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees. ● Expanded the membership 5 folds to over 350 members. ● Initiated the Physician Directory project to market Pakistani physicians in Greater Houston, which also brought revenue for the chapter. ● Established the APPNA House to provide affordable and safe accommodation for Pakistani graduates. ● Expanded APPNA YPC Observership program within the chapter to make it the largest contributor to the program.
Role In Association of Pakistani-Descent Cardiologists of North America (APCNA):
● Served as Treasurer, Secretary, President-Elect, and currently serving as President. ● Participated in the Stent Bank Project. ● Contributed to the Pacemaker Bank Project. ● Engaged in the Handheld Echo Project. ● Signed an MOU on behalf of APCNA with NICVD (National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases) and JSMU (Jinnah Sindh Medical University) to establish a Primary Prevention Clinic in Karachi.
Role in APPNA:
● Chaired APPNA Fall Meeting 2023 which generated one of the highest profits and was the largest non-summer meeting in history of APPNA. ● Served as a council member in 2021. ● Played a crucial role in shaping and getting the current Constitution and Bylaws (CABL) approved. ● Member of the Membership and Young Physicians Committee in 2021. ● Member of the CABL Committee for 2023-2024.
